Sven Silver Juur – Lead Instructor
Meet Sven, our esteemed owner and principal dance instructor, a former 10-Dance Champion with an illustrious career spanning over 28 years in the world of ballroom dance. Having conquered over 100 International competitions across 18 countries, Sven is not just a dance instructor; he’s a dance maestro.
Sven is a certified expert in International Style Ballroom and Latin, American Style Smooth and Rhythm, Night Club, Latin social dances, and even country western dances. As a certified instructor and adjudicator in both Europe and the U.S., he holds accolades from esteemed organizations such as the United States Terpsichore Association, Pro DVIDA, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, Finnish Sport Dance Association, Estonian Dance Sport Association, and the Estonian Olympic Committee.
Sven’s students have achieved remarkable success, becoming finalists in the prestigious Blackpool International Ballroom Dance Competition.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Choreography and Dance acquired in Europe, Sven has seamlessly blended his dance expertise into the realm of musical theater. His directorial and choreographic brilliance has illuminated productions such as Kiss Me Kate, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Aladdin Jr., Dracula the Musical, Grease, Man Of La Mancha, 42nd Street, Annie, and Cinderella.
In 2014, Sven realized his dream by opening Silver Dance Studio. Specializing in private and semi-private dance instruction, the studio has since earned numerous national pro/am dance competition victories and prestigious awards, including Top Teacher and Top Studio honors.
